REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience in the accounting field. MBA or CPA desirable. Experience: Minimum five years experience in accounting activities, primarily in hospital or healthcare related businesses. Job Knowledge: Sound familiarity with accounting, budgeting, hospital operations, and financial planning concepts. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and cost accounting software. Ability to perform comprehensive analytical tasks using appropriate computer tools. Demonstrates good judgment in prioritizing projects and reaching appropriate analytical conclusions. Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare accounting systems and related support functions such as reimbursement, billing concepts, and health care operational and clinical practices. Assist the Chief Lending Officer in recommending and implementing underwriting guidelines and procedures in line with Bank’s lending policies. Review, approve and validate that loans are in compliance with Bank lending standards, federal and state rules and regulations. Approve Commercial and Commercial Real Estate credits up to assigned lending limits, generally dealing with more complex and higher dollar loans. Work with lending officers on credit analysis and loan pricing. Monitor and recommend action on past due and classified loans. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of loans reviewed are accurately graded in accordance with their risk profile. Serve as a voting member of Management Loan Committee and present large credits to Board of Directors. REQUIREMENTS: • Four-year degree in business or related field preferred. • 10 or more years of experience analyzing and making increasingly complex commercial loans and commercial real estate loans. • Thorough knowledge of underwriting criteria for commercial lending construction lending and all phases of commercial real estate lending. • Underwriting knowledge must focus on Uniform Cash-flow Analysis, for both commercial and real estate underwriting. • Experience in loan documentation, credit file maintenance, and risk rating systems. • Knowledge of Small Business Administration and other governmental loan programs. • Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting commercial loans and commercial real estate loans. • Proven effectiveness managing the credit quality of a loan portfolio. • Understanding of and ability to evaluate financial statements, tax returns, real estate appraisals and environmental reports. • Strong computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and loan origination systems. • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business and professional relationships at all levels within and outside the Bank.
